No Panels. No Filters. Just Real Conversations — The Grind’s ‘What’s For Dinner?’ Debuts in Surat

Surat: Challenging conventional networking formats, The Grind hosted “What’s For Dinner?”—an invite-only, curated gathering at 1990 by Crazy Bite, Surat, designed to spark honest conversations and meaningful connections.

Conceptualized as a conversational experience rather than a structured event, the format encouraged participants to engage beyond roles and titles. The experience began with a cue card and fish pond exercise, allowing anonymous expression and setting a tone of openness from the outset.

This flowed into a series of interactive rounds—“If I’m Honest…” for candid reflections, a Dinner Card round built around single-word prompts like “Power”, inviting participants to interpret and share what the word meant to them personally, a dynamic Hot Take round for instinctive responses, and a powerful Fish Pond reveal, where anonymous thoughts were voiced aloud.

The gathering brought together a curated mix of individuals including Palak Savani, Unnati Savlani, Dr. Bandana Bhattacharya, Shalini Bansal, Monica Khurana, Dr. Vijayeta Bhatu, Latika Singh, and Vama Dholakiya, among others.

Sharing the vision, Tanvi said, “We wanted to build a space where people could just be—without roles, without filters.”

Khyati added, “The honesty in the room is what made this truly special.”

Shivani noted, “These are the conversations that don’t happen on stage, but matter the most.”

Himanshu Parashar shared, “This platform celebrates the power of shared stories—where reflection leads to connection, and connection leads to growth.”

By blending anonymity with openness, “What’s For Dinner?” creates a format where conversations are not just exchanged, but genuinely experienced. Hosted in collaboration with 1990 by Crazy Bite, the experience seamlessly brought together curated dining and thoughtful dialogue.

With strong word-of-mouth from its debut, The Grind aims to take this format forward as a recurring platform for meaningful, human-first conversations.
