Sharath Chandra Maroju Elected President of the Hyderabad Management Association for 2026 to 2027

Hyderabad, 2nd July 2026: The Hyderabad Management Association (HMA), an affiliate of the All India Management Association, has at its Annual General Meeting elected Mr. Sharath Chandra Maroju as its President for the term 2026 to 2027. He assumes office in July 2026, bringing to the role more than two decades of leadership across engineering, sustainability, and enterprise.

 

Mr. Sharath Maroju is the Founder and CEO of Syndic Engineers, a Hyderabad-based firm focused on energy and sustainable environment solutions. Since co-founding the company in 2016, he has built a practice spanning EPC consulting and project solutions across power, water and wastewater, air pollution, and chemical treatment for industries as varied as pharma, cement, sugar, distillery, ethanol, steel, FMCG, and biotechnology.

 

An award-winning entrepreneur and innovator, Mr. Sharath Maroju was conferred the FTCCI Excellence Award in Science and Engineering by the Chief Minister of Telangana. He has filed a patent for a sustainable solution that generates green hydrogen from pharmaceutical wastewater, and serves on the Board of Governors of the Board of Technical Education instituted by the Government of Telangana. He holds a Master’s in Thermal Engineering from JNTU, a Micro Master from IIM Bangalore, certification as a Chartered Engineer from the IEI, an ADBA from the London School of Business and Finance, and a law degree from Kakatiya University. He is also a Chartered Arbitrator (CIArb) under the Royal Charter, London, and a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certified by MSMSE, Government of India.

 

Setting out his vision for the term, Mr. Sharath Maroju said: “I am deeply honoured to lead the Hyderabad Management Association at a moment when management itself is being reshaped by technology, sustainability, and a new generation of leaders. My agenda for the year ahead rests on three commitments, to Renew the association’s foundations, to Reimagine how we engage our members and the wider community, and to Rise as a centre of management excellence for the city and the region. I look forward to working with our members, partners, and the AIMA family to make this a defining year for HMA.”

 

Mr. Sharath Maroju’s professional journey includes earlier leadership roles at Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited, Thermax Limited, Mitsubishi in the United Kingdom, and Flexible Mobility in Singapore and Malaysia. A keen writer with a longstanding interest in literature and Indian classical music, he is the author of several books on sustainability and engineering, including “Green Hydrogen as an ESG Imperative”, “Industrial Wastewater Remediation”, “Rubbish to Revenue”, and “Carbon Capture to Toner”, alongside numerous articles and publications on the circular economy, ESG, and sustainable engineering. Beyond his professional work, he serves as Trustee of the VSMILE Foundation, a philanthropic trust dedicated to women’s empowerment and girl child education.
