<p>MS Dhoni, who led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to their fifth IPL championship earlier this year, will go down in history as one of the most successful captains to ever skipper the Indian side. Dhoni has a trophy cabinet full of trophies, and this one was added to by him. The renowned former Indian and current captain of CSK has an incredible total of 19 championships to his credit.</p>
<p>Dhoni won his first trophy in his professional career in 2007, when he captained the Indian side to victory against Pakistan in the final and won the ICC T20 World Cup. <p>In addition to this, Dhoni also assisted India in winning three Border Gavaskar Trophies while serving as the Men in Blue’s captain. He also assisted India in winning the Asia Cup twice, first in 2010 and then again in 2016.</p>
<p>Dhoni would also contribute to India’s victory in the CB Series. He also twice won the Time Test Mace and the Time ODI Shield.</p>
<p>Throughout his career, Dhoni also played for two IPL teams; he stayed with CSK after the club was banned from the tournament, but was then signed by Rising Pune Supergiant; they made it to the final in 2017 but lost to Mumbai Indians by one run.</p>
<p>It was the beginning of a love affair that would see the famous captain lead CSK to a stunning five IPL victories, including the most recent one earlier this year when they defeated Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2023 final. In 2010, the renowned skipper led CSK to their maiden IPL championship.</p>
<p>Dhoni won the Champions League trophy twice, first in 2010 and then again in 2014. He has won five IPL championships.</p>
<p>‘Thala’ assured his supporters that he will want to ‘challenge’ himself and return for the IPL 2024 season the following year after winning the IPL 2023 final, reiterating that he had no immediate intentions to retire!</p>
